Simple DNS Plus v. 5.3 released

Tuesday, 27 October 2015

Simple DNS Plus version 5.3 is here!

The most requested feature that we have added in v. 5.3 is the new ALIAS-record.
These are virtual alias records resolved by Simple DNS Plus at at the time of each request - providing "flattened" (no CNAME-record chain) synthesized records with data from a hidden source name.
This can be used for different purposes - including solving the classic problem with CNAME-records at the domain apex (for the zone name / for "the naked domain").

Check out the full list of new features in v. 5.3 at http://simpledns.com/kb/104

Version 5.3 is available for download at http://simpledns.com/download

IMPORTANT: For licensed users of earlier versions of Simple DNS Plus, v. 5.3 may or may not be a free upgrade depending on when you purchased / upgraded to your current license. If you purchased or upgrade to your license on or after October 27th 2014, then the upgrade to v. 5.3 is free (one year free upgrade protection), and you can use your existing license key to activate v. 5.3. Otherwise, you will need to purchase an upgrade - see http://simpledns.com/pricing#upgrade
If you are not sure when you purchased / upgraded to your current license, you can check your license status at http://simpledns.com/license-chk

We hope you like the new features in Simple DNS Plus v. 5.3, and as always, we look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions for further development.
